From our use of unusual geometric shapes to the beautiful color combinations found in each project, we strive to make furniture is “not of this world“ and invites further inspection.

We are on a mission in the furniture world to change the perception of what is possible when it comes to design and production. We love using plywood in our furniture as it’s durable and gives off a raw look. Our focus is on making eco-friendly products, and we ensure that our plywood is sustainably harvested. We’ve come a long way from our beginnings -STUDO SPION started as a dream in the mind of our founder Balazs Titkos. His combined experiences in designs, production, and business gave him the skills he needed to make his own dream a reality. Moving to the West-Coast allowed Balazs to be surrounded by a similar art scene that he had grown up in - one influenced heavily by skateboarding, music, and art. Now based out of Los Angeles, he is on a mission to bring the future to the here and now by injecting new life into the contemporary furniture scene.

Stemming from Balazs own love of sci-fi and the futures which those stories show, our designs draw inspiration from across the genre - ranging from the retro feel of golden era ‘B’ movies - with our Mid- Century Modern pieces which replicate flying saucers, to the sleek futuristic and industrial aesthetics of cyberpunk films like ‘Blade Runner’ - as seen in our contemporary pieces. Balazs has had an interest in military and futuristic technological styles and this comes through in the design ethos of STUDIO SPION.

We make use of modern technologies in order to bring the designs out of our mind and into reality, but we are grounded in traditional design and production techniques. This ensures that human element is kept in our furniture - and it can be ensured that our pieces are lovingly crafted by real humans rather than by sterile artificial intelligence. We are committed to providing high-quality designer furniture which maintains charm and elegance in any space it’s in - combining a futuristic aesthetic with retro charm.
